龙飞凤舞

Dragons flying, phoenixes dancing Rosy clouds fill the sky reflecting the frost flowers, the dragon soars to the ninth heaven and the phoenix follows him. Dancing amidst illusions and swift maneuvers, roaming freely across the four seas, everywhere is home. One day fading into some ordinary alley, into firewood, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and tea. What does it matter? The laughter never ends, heroes of the world gather for him.

古龙先生 我能叫你一声大哥么

Mr. Gu Long, Can I Call You Big Brother? Time: June 15, 2027. Afternoon, around 2:35 PM. Location: Taipei. Exact location: Unknown. Maybe a deep alley, maybe a teahouse, maybe, endless nothingness. Rhythm: I lift the curtain threaded with tiny water beads. The indoor warmth and leisure wash over me. Mr. Gu Long is leaning on a long chaise lounge, already three-parts drunk, obviously having just met up with friends at noon. I think to myself, I've come a bit too early, I've disturbed the gentleman. But he notices me from the corner of his eye, waves and calls out, "It's you. The one they call Xiao Li Tanhua in the Jianghu, right?" Surprise springs in my heart, surging with endless joy and emotion. To think he actually knows me. I quickly reply, "Yes. Mr. Long, you've actually heard of me." He waves his hand and says breezily, "Hey, don't mention it. My ears have been sick of hearing your name these past two days. In fact, a friend who dropped by earlier was just nagging about you too." I hurry forward, throw myself down and bow, "Big Brother! Your little brother is late! Great Hero! Your little brother is late!" Mr. Gu Long doesn't move a muscle, just looks at me deeply, lets out a long sigh, and says, "Alas, you... It's good that you're here, it's good that you're here. Actually, I have been waiting for you too." Hearing this, I am astonished. How did he know I was coming, and why would he say 'it's good that you're here'? I look up. The moment our eyes meet, tears can't help but fall. I stand up, throw myself into his arms and cry out, "Big Brother! Big Brother! Please take me in! I'll saddle your horses and follow your lead, ready to serve you like a dog or a horse. Through all hardships, I won't refuse! Please, you must take me in!" He slowly pats my back, his palm warm and gentle. I am so happy, knowing this means consent. From now on, Mr. Gu Long, Teacher Gu Long, Great Hero Gu Long, to me, is my Big Brother! I am so thrilled. I am so happy. I am so blessed. I grab Big Brother's shoulders, shaking them firmly but gently, and once again hug his neck tight. Ah, the years. The vicissitudes of life. In the split second of touching Big Brother's skin, all the wasted times flood my eyes. Tears flow like a river, soaking his lapel. Brother Long pats me lightly, signaling me to look into his eyes. I see them. That pair of eyes, clear, flawless, having sailed past a thousand sails, covered in sword scars, yet joyful and full of feeling like the spring. Isn't that the Hero Xunhuan I have been searching so hard for? I understand now. They all say heroes shed no tears, but our Great Hero Xunhuan, who knows how many times he has cried. The so-called 'no tears', aren't they all just tears? But how could a true hero be gloomy and live a mediocre life? Heroic boldness is inevitable. Great ambitions must be sought from within. The martial world will have its moments. Moments to meet friends. P.S. Another day, I wrote a note to Big Brother, passed on to Brother Long's residence by the Taipei branch of our Beggars' Sect brothers. "Big Brother, I heard you suffered from liver disease in the past. Your little brother here is already studying the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Even though I'm still just a noob and haven't even found the door yet, I'm only thirty-three this year, there's a long road ahead, and maybe one day I can alleviate your suffering. Hey, what am I doing? I could just call my Master! My Master is super awesome." ~ Respectfully submitted by Xiao Tanhua. Two days later, I was called to the main hall by the helmsman of the Peach Blossom Island's Taipei branch, and scolded harshly without any chance to explain. "You idiot! Don't you know Hero Long only writes in Traditional Chinese? You guy came from overseas, learned too much of that foreign language and completely forgot the stuff of our ancestors, huh? Hero Long doesn't use computers, and he doesn't want to entertain that 'dear brother' / AI stuff of yours. But he sensed that your Master is an old friend from Peach Blossom Island, so he specifically had someone drive a speedboat overnight to deliver the note to our Island Master. See? I just got chewed out by him, telling me to give you a good talking to. Don't let it happen again!"
