Can the propagation speed of consciousness exceed the speed of light? Lucy from Lucy, Professor X from X-Men—are those imaginations about consciousness truly destined to remain only in sci-fi? Even setting aside faster-than-light travel for a moment, is it possible for us to stay on Earth and, through brain-computer interfaces and remote devices, control spaceships in outer space to see the worlds they see? Perhaps Earth is our Eden, and we can explore the universe without sending our physical bodies far away?
